Nicholas Forbes / Auckland Youth Orchestra 26 Jun

Please note that this concert begins at 2:30pm.

The concert on Sunday 26 June, 2:30pm, is one postponed from last year – a collaboration with Auckland Youth Orchestra.

Nicholas Forbes will join the Auckland Youth Orchestra, conducted by Antun Poljanich, for Saint-Saëns’ ‘organ’ Symphony and Gigout’s Grand Choeur Dialogué arranged for brass and organ. There will also be an opera bracket featuring up and coming singers.

Since we first planned this concert in 2021, we are happy to report that Nicholas Forbes has recently become our newest trustee on the Auckland Town Hall Organ Trust and that he has also taken up the position of Director of Music at St Matthew-in-the-City (February 2022).
