Robert Costin is a former Assistant Director Music at St Paul’s Cathedral, Wellington and Director of Music at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland. During his time in New Zealand he recorded for Radio New Zealand and since 1996 has produced six CDs of organ music, all of which have received accolades by international reviewers.
Robert is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where he studied organ with Nicholas Danby and harpsichord with John Toll. He gained his Associate of the Royal College of Organists diploma as a seventeen year old and following two years of further study became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists.
He has participated in master-classes with Gillian Weir and has played in prestigious venues all over the world including Washington National Cathedral, Worcester Cathedral and Notre Dame de Paris. He has given several recitals on all the town hall organs in New Zealand and in 2011 performed the Guilmant Organ Symphony with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.
He is currently organist at All Saints’ Church, Blackheath and teaches at St Paul’s Cathedral School and Highgate School, all while working for a research degree on Bach.
The organ concert is free to all concert goers who have a ticket for the
APO Bayleys Great Classics concert at 7.30 pm

and the APO concert will start at 7.30 pm
